A person’s identity is so very important because it often affects how they approach life and how they live. Every believer has a true identity and many aliases. The problem comes when we start to live as one of our aliases instead of by our true identity. Yet many believers view themselves only through the lens of their circumstances, their mistakes or through other relationships. As we begin 2012 lets take a few moments to learn your true identity. You see I believe every Christian needs to know who they really are…not the identity that we often give ourselves. We need to see ourselves as God see us because we will never realize all that Christ has done for us until we realize who we truly are. Pastor Dave and Courtney arrived at CBBC September 2009 with a passion to see teenagers grow in a relationship with God that affects every area of their life. Dave spent most of his life in California where his dad was an associate pastor. He knew God was calling him into ministry the summer between his 6th and 7th grade. He was active in children’s ministry throughout high school and worked with both teen and children’s ministry throughout college. Some of the things he enjoys doing are playing soccer, juggling, and fly-fishing.Courtney is a native of Texas though she moved from there when she was 9. Music & WorshipO sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people. For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens. Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary. -Ps 96: 1-6Music @ CBBC The music we sing at Calvary is a blend of the old and the new. Singing Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Song we corporately, and with one voice Exalt, Glorify, and Praise the Lord our God. Using songs from a variety of musical genres we carefully select music that is doctrinally sound and theologically accurate. We use music as an act of worship and as a tool to prepare our hearts and minds to receive the preaching of His Word. Our music is not a performance to entertain ourselves or others. It is simply an act of total surrender and further glorification of God. Our HeartWe believe music is a gift given from God and when used properly a powerful tool in bringing glory to Himself. We believe we are commanded by God to worship in spirit and in truth. We believe as Christian musicians we are to give of ourselves daily to glorify the Lord, bless His name, and declare to the world that Jesus Christ is Lord. We strive to live holy lives with humility, serving the Lord while serving others. When becoming a part of CBBC’s music ministries we make a commitment to better ourselves musically, give of ourselves willingly, act responsibly, show dependability, and to sing joyfully!! AND WE DO IT ALL FOR THE LORD!! Ministry Opportunities:Adult ChoirChildren’s Choirs OrchestraInstrumental and Vocal Specials

Calvary KidsChildren are important to God and they are the future of Calvary Bible Baptist Church. We do not take children's ministries lightly. We Enjoy Meeting New People! We invite you to join us for a Sunday service to see for yourself what Calvary is about. Of course, we understand that visiting any church for the first time means entering unfamiliar territory, which can be a little intimidating, but let us assure you that visiting Calvary is not a difficult process. However, for those of you who like to know exactly what to expect and do, we have put together these simple tips to make your first visit an easy process.1. Relax - When you come to Calvary you’ll find a group of people just like you. There is no need to be intimidated or nervous, we are genuinely excited to see visitors each and every week. You will also find yourself in the midst of people who truly care about you so don’t worry about being the “new person”, we’ve had many first time visitors worship with us over the years and we really can’t wait to meet you!2. Be Yourself - At Calvary we value people being real with each other and with God. No one should have to “put on a mask” to be accepted at church. We want you to come as you are and be yourself. Many of our folks dress up for worship and many of our folks dress casually. Our focus is not on who wears what but whether people are connecting–with God and with their neighbor. The truth is, we are all broken people banded together by a common desire to draw close to God and live out His purpose for our lives. So, when you come to Calvary, just be yourself.3. Enjoy - We believe church should be enjoyable and that worship should be a time that people look forward to every week and a place that you can’t wait to get back to. For this reason we go out of our way to provide a safe place for kids to grow and learn about Christ. Our children’s workers are pre-screened and must pass a criminal background check to serve in this ministry. We also structure our services to be lively with music that is God focused, featuring some of the great hymns that we know and love along with newer praise and worship music. The preaching is straight from the Bible and you’ll find that the messages are relevant and will help you cultivate a meaningful and growing relationship with Christ. When you visit Calvary we want you to enjoy your time here.

What We BelieveAbout GodGod is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.About the FatherHe is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. He reigns with providential care over the universe and the flow of human history goes according to His purposes and plan.About JesusJesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus has eternally existed and became man at His incarnation. He lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He bodily arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.About the Holy SpiritHe is the third person of the Trinity. He guides men into all truth, exalts Christ, convicts of sin, righteousness and judgment, cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, bestows spiritual gifts by which believers serve God and seals the believer unto the day of final redemption. His presence in the lives of believers is the assurance of God to bring us into the fullness of the stature of Christ.About CreationAll things were created by God. Angels were created as ministering agents, though some, under the leadership of Satan, fell from their sinless state to become agents of evil. The universe was created in six historical days and is continuously sustained by God; thus it both reflects His glory and reveals His truth. Human beings were directly created, not evolved, in the very image of God. As reasoning moral agents, they are responsible under God for understanding and governing themselves and the world.About The ScripturesThe Bible, both Old and New Testaments, though written by men, was supernaturally inspired by God so that all its words are the written true revelation of God, it is therefore inerrant and authoritative in all matters. It is to be understood by all through the illumination of the Holy Spirit, its meaning determined by the historical, grammatical, and literary use of the author"s language, comparing Scripture with Scripture.About Human BeingsAdam, the first man, willfully disobeyed God, bringing sin and death into the world. As a result, all persons are sinners from conception, which is evidenced in their willful acts of sin; and they are therefore subject to eternal punishment, under the just condemnation of a holy God.About SalvationSalvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one received Jesus Christ into his life by faith.About Eternal SecurityBecause God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. If you have been genuinely saved, you cannot “lose ” your salvation. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives us this security.About Eternity People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separate from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.About Baptism by ImmersionWe believe that scriptural baptism must be: (1) by being completely immersed under the water and (2) after salvation. Jesus was immersed and all baptisms in the New Testament were by immersion. These two facts sets the standard for baptism today. Baptism has no saving power but is the first act of obedience symbolizing (1) the believer’s faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, (2) the believer’s death to sin and resurrection to walk anew in Christ, and (3) the Christian’s belief that he will die, be buried, and that Jesus will resurrect him from the dead.About the Lord’s SupperThe Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby believers remember the death of the Lord Jesus and anticipate His second coming. The bread is symbolic of His body and the juice represents His blood.About the ChurchA New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a local body of baptized believers who are associated by their common faith and fellowship with Jesus. A local church is to observe the two ordinances: (1) baptism and (2) the Lord’s Supper. The church should exercise their God-given gifts and extend the gospel to the ends of the earth. The church is an autonomous body serving under the Lordship of Christ. All members are equally responsible as they serve with the scriptural officers of the church, the pastors and deacons.About Christian UnityTo live in harmony with other believers is clearly the teaching of the New Testament. It is the responsibility of each believer to endeavor to live in fellowship with each member of the congregation. It is further the responsibility of each member to bring all gossiping and backbiting to an end.Click here for our full statement of faith

Pastor Keller began his ministry at Calvary in December 2008 after ministering in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. He was saved when he was five years old and surrendered his life to the Lord under the ministry of Charles Lynn, pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Dayton, Ohio. During his junior year at Baptist Bible College he met Rebecca and the two were married in July 1996. The Kellers have also been blessed with three beautiful children. The entire Keller family is thankful that the Lord brought them to be a part of Calvary Bible Baptist Church. Pastor is passionate about preaching and spending time with his family. He also enjoys coaching his son"s NFL Flag football team, playing golf, politics and watching Ohio State football! Pastor"s life passage is Philippians 3:13-14 "Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize fo the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." His soul"s desire is to be used of God in such a way that only God could ever get the glory.
